Just a Quick Note…

I have deleted the Word Weaving Poetry Journal site. The domain was up for renewal and since I've made the journal biennial, there is no reason to have a separate site. I've merged that blog into wordcraftpoetry.com. You will find the links to the journal information on the main menu or HERE. Stay tuned... I'll… Continue reading Just a Quick Note…

Treasuring Poetry – An introduction to Word Weaving #1: A Word Craft Journal of Syllabic Verse edited and compiled by Colleen Chesebro and Jules Paige

Robbie Cheadle and Kaye Lynn Booth are the best hosts! Thanks for having me over and thank you for the wonderful review of Word Weaving #1. ❤

Writing to be Read

Today, I am delighted to introduce you to Word Weaving #1: A Word Craft Journal of Syllabic Verse, The Moons of Autumn, a delightful collaboration of syllabic poems by a variety of poets, edited and compiled by Colleen Chesebro and Jules Paige.

By way of background, Colleen Chesebro has run a weekly syllabic poetry challenge on her blog, Word Craft: Poetry and Prose for years. She has been a guiding light to the poetry community, sharing her knowledge about the many different forms of syllabic poetry and encouraging poets to experiment and all learn together.

What inspired you to put together a poetry anthology, is it a once off or will there be others?

My inspiration for the syllabic poetry journal came about when I realized that many of the poets who joined in my weekly challenge did not have the ways or means to publish their own…

Word Weaving – The Moons of Autumn

Many Congratulations to Ken Gierke for his best of issue poem in The Moons of Autumn: A Word Craft Journal of Syllabic Verse/Word Weaving #1.

Three poems I submitted to Word Weaving – A Word Craft Journal of Syllabic Verse appear in its first issue, The Moons of Autumn. A shadorma (Transition), an untitled haiku, and an untitled gogyohka appear with the work of many poets with whom I have become familiar, including Annette Rochelle Aben, Bill Engleson, Franci Hoffman (Eugenia), D. Wallace Peach, Kerfe Roig, Merril D. Smith, and Willow Willers.

My gogyohka also appears on the back cover as “Best of Issue Poem.”

The Moons of Autumn is available in paperback here and in digital form (Kindle) here. Many thanks to editors Colleen Chesebro and JulesPaige for placing my poetry among that of so many fine poets.
