The Word Weaving Poetry Journal was a tremendous success, but I really thought about the next steps to take with the journal.

Since beginning Unicorn Cats Publishing Services, I found my role as an editor and book designer to be in great demand. Plus, I’d already agreed to be an assistant editor of The Congress of the Rough Writers Flash Fiction Anthology & Gitty Up Press, a micro-press founded by Charli Mills and Carrot Ranch. 

I consulted with Charli and we created a new collaboration. One of the divisions of Gitty Up Press is a new literary journal called “Around the Campfire.” Flash Fiction and poetry are the perfect combination!

It made sense to retire Word Weaving and concentrate my efforts on the new journal at Carrot Ranch.com. The Word Weaving Journal is still available for purchase on Amazon.

Word Weaving #1: A Word Craft Journal of Syllabic Verse is the digital (Kindle) version found HERE.

The Moons of Autumn: A Word Craft Journal of Syllabic Verse is the print version of the book and found HERE.

I hope you will follow our new adventure at Around the Campfire. Jules has agreed to assist me in the administration of the journal’s creation along with Charli Mills, the co-editor of the journal.

Chesebro lives in the house of her dreams in mid-Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes with her husband and two (unicorn) cats, Chloe & Sophie.

  19. Congratulations, Colleen. I have the book, wordcraft but will read it in June after my semester finals. I’ll be doing my poetry book so it should be invaluable as I craft some syllabic forms. I’ll explore it thoroughly. Glad you’re joining up, and Jules is on board. You’re such a busy bee💜

      1. I follow Carrot Ranch, but haven’t participated in a while. It’s that elusive balance I can’t seem to achieve. I don’t know how people like you and Sally do it all! I’ll head over and check it out though. Perhaps the muse will cooperate! Hugs.
