#TankaTuesday #Poetry Stars No. 298 | #PhotoPrompt

Welcome to our weekly poetry stars’ celebration. This week’s challenge was to write our choice of syllabic poem, using a form from the cheat sheet or a syllabic form from the Poetscollective.org, using the photo from David:

Thanks everyone for all the fabulous poetry. It was fun to see what everyone came up with. I found it hard not to write about Ukraine. Look at those cute little wooden dolls singing their hearts out.

Here’s a couple poems that really got my attention.

Ruth shares the reality of the war in Ukraine. This one grabs you in the heart! 💔

Lisa’s triolet also speaks of the horrors of war. 💔

I really enjoyed Balroop’s crown cinquain. She gave these dolls human personalities and they fit! It just goes to show how we all see different things in photos. That’s creativity.
