WordPress gave me a credit for the WordPress Pro debacle which enabled me to recreate my author blog once again. Please note the site address is https://colleenmchesebro.com. I had to add my middle initial, so this might be a bit clunky at first. It will take me a few days to migrate things over from Word Craft Poetry, so bear with me.
I will share my poetry, book reviews, Coffee Klatch posts, and the Pagan Wheel of the Year (starts on Samhain) posts. Thanks so much.
Please stop by and say hello! 🌹
🔒 We respect your privacy and have a ZERO TOLERANCE for spam. Let’s talk syllabic poetry!
An avid reader, Colleen M. Chesebro rekindled her love of writing poetry after years spent working in the accounting industry. These days, she loves crafting syllabic poetry, flash fiction, and creative fiction and nonfiction.
In addition to poetry books, Chesebro’s publishing career includes participation in various anthologies featuring short stories, flash fiction, and poetry. She’s an avid supporter of her writing community on Word Craft Poetry.com by organizing and sponsoring a weekly syllabic poetry challenge, called #TankaTuesday, where participants experiment with traditional and current forms of Japanese and American syllabic poetry.
Chesebro is an assistant editor of The Congress of the Rough Writers Flash Fiction Anthology & Gitty Up Press, a micro-press founded by Charli Mills and Carrot Ranch.
In January 2022, Colleen founded Unicorn Cats Publishing Services to assist poets and authors in creating eBooks and print books for publication. In addition, she creates affordable book covers for Kindle and print books.
Chesebro lives in the house of her dreams in mid-Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes with her husband and two (unicorn) cats, Chloe & Sophie.

LOL! It was their error with introducing a product that didn’t work. I think that’s why they brought back the original pricing. I wouldn’t have switched if I’d known it was an experiment.
It is still happening… I got two more this morning – I’ve set the link in the blog comment to private. I’ve asked the site holder to remove my comments (but I don’t think they are around enough to care – since 2020…) So I keep reporting ‘them’ to phishing , spam and delete. ~Thanks.
The comments don’t show up under my comment on the post, the nasty stuff are just messages and links in my email.
I can’t block these twits. It is a comment to a comment. If I block the sender I end up blocking everything that comes from WP.
I’m sure it goes straight to the original blog’s spam. But they come to my email. And its to something that was from 2014! To one of my closed blogs. Which is another reason I’m not changing to where my icon goes (to that closed blog).
Each one of these twits has some dumb message. Some have links – Some state right up front ‘who they are’ like “Im a bad girl, visit me.” And I’m not going to their sites to block them. I’ll just keep deleting them. It is a bit annoying though.
I think these are spam. I get a lot of these too. I added porn and sex to my list of filter words. Now, most of them automatically go into my trash. LOL!
I just went to that site and blocked the site they were comming from in ‘both’ places.
Those key words aren’t always used.
I’ll let you know if that has worked. I didn’t really want to do that – but since the person hasn’t been active for years – I guess it doesn’t matter. If you want to know who it was… I can email that to you.

Oh this only started (since) when WP changed back after their big ‘Boo-boo’.
I’m also still getting double notifications regarding the same ‘comment’ or ‘reply’ to some posts (comments). That also stared about the same time as the ‘Big Boo-boo’ change up.
The site getting the ‘gem’ spam is marked private. No one can get in but me, I even password protected the link I had to one of my posts. After everything else that I have done I can’t imagne how ‘they’ are still able to leave comments.
Sometimes I see ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of one of those comments (in my email). I went to it and it said I had to have a WP.com in order to unsubscribe – I have that already I don’t need to set up another one and I’m not changing the good one.
I’m going to guess that the unattended ‘blog’ has got oodles of spam pages. None of the ‘trash’ is visible on the originating blog post. But since the whole blog isn’t being looked after (maybe because of all the spam in the first place)… nothing will be done. So my delete button will be activated regularly.
We’re all getting spam. When I was on the pro plan I got very little, but that took me off the WP.com server where spam is constant. Most of my spam is from emails. I just delete it all.
Got a different spam/ but same ‘folks’ that actually allowed a ‘lookee-loo’ to the sender. Which of course I will not do. So another change was made ‘yesterday?’
Some other changes of how I recieve email comments and comments to comment! *Sigh* So much for the big “A” spam protection. I suppose it could be worse… eek.
Oh… spam all over – hubby got a spam out of country call – twice from the same number from across the pond this morning!! Didn’t answer. I was graced with a video political email because I turned my phone on to run erands. Delete buttons are very good 😉
My daughter the programmer told me WordPress is notorious for using an outdated program, pre-Java. They just keep putting on bandaids. But can you imagine what would happen if they changed to Java?
It’s hard keeping my more personal writings separate… I will be starting the Pagan Wheel of the Year posts in October. Besides, I had this credit so I used it. Word Craft Poetry will be what it always has been, a place for us to write and learn about poetry. My author blog can be a bit more personal if you know what I mean. Plus, I need to start advertising my books and my work on Giddy Up Press. I’ve got a lot going on. LOL!
Hi C M C It’s still you and we’re still here.
Sending you Grace ( you already have such lovely spirit) — Grace to see you through this stage.
Bless you. I wish you miracles XoXo
It’s on the right hand side widget. Isn’t this horrible? I’ve got to contact WP today as some things don’t work. That is all they give us now for a follow button. Our blogs don’t link followers like they used to either. 🤦🏼♀️

Cheers.

How frustrating! I have to contact WP about other issues. I’ll mention this to them.
