Are you ready to try a new challenge? #ShareYourDay is a way to get to know each other better. Take a photo and write a syllabic poem about your day. Don’t think on it too hard. Make it fun.

For this challenge, write your poem in one of the forms defined on the cheat sheet OR from the forms found on Poetscollective.org.

Take a photo of what your day has been like, then write a syllabic form of your choice found on the cheat sheet OR from Poetscollective.org. Don’t overthink it. Just have fun!

*USE sodacoffee.com/syllables to count your syllables. That way, we are all using the same syllable counter.

Post it on your blog.

Include a link back to the challenge in your post. (copy the URL, the https:// address of this post into your post).

Copy your link into the Mr. Linky below (underlined with a hyperlink).

Please click the small checkbox on Mr. Linky about data protection.

Read and comment on some of your fellow poets’ work.

Like and leave a comment below if you choose to do so.

  1. Fun, Colleen! I have too many projects going on to participate, but I think this is what I do every week anyway with my Monday Morning Musings! 🤣 (Not usually syllabic, but this week I did a Wayra chain.)

  2. Love this idea, I am looking forward to see everyone’s entrees. I have added mine to Mr Linky. I’ve tried a Sijo as it not one I’ve used here before I have explained the rules 💜💜💜😁

    1. Thanks Franci. Yes… you can change the background to a color with light text. It also has a left and right column for widgets, but it looked too cluttered for my taste. I like having some color, so this was a good compromise. The biggie being that you can read the text. LOL! I’m glad you joined in. ❤

      1. I saw the left and right options for columns and agree, it looks too cluttered. Plus, I found adding an extra column didn’t look good in Firefox. I love that it has color options! 😃
