WELCOME TO TANKA TUESDAY!

It’s the fourth week of the month! Are you ready for a theme prompt? Harmony Kent from last month’s challenge picked the theme.
This month’s theme is:
Kindness
On the Monday before the next challenge, I’ll select someone to choose next month’s theme.
Here are some sites that will help you write your poetry and count syllables:

- Post it on your blog.

I will visit your blog, comment, and TWEET your POETRY on @SyllabicPoetry
If you add hashtags to the post TITLE on your blog (depending on which poetry form you use) we can find your poetry on social media.
Search #TankaTuesday to find the tweets! Add a # to the name of the form you created in the title of your post.

Perfect. I just read in my paper about a local guy who collects recyclables. He sorts ’em and then gives the money to charity – every Sunday. I didn’t write about him though…

Thanks, Colleen. Lovely prompt. I worked on it, a very short 3-5-3 haiku would do for this week, I thought, and then I read Harmony’s post: I had to add more. A 5-7-5 resulted but not sure what to call it. Human foible theme perhaps? I’m not sure. Not an expert yet. haha. Anyway, it was fun to write it. Be well dear lady. I wish you miracles.

Thanks, Selma. If your poem is related to human foibles it’s a senryu. Haiku are nature based. I’m a purest when it comes to my Japanese poetry. Some fold blend haiku and senryu but I like to keep them separate. 🥰
