Just a heads up… I’ve changed the domain name of Word Craft ~ Prose & Poetry to wordcraftpoetry.com. I’ve created an author blog (still in progress) at colleenchesebro.com. Bear with me while I make all these changes in headers, etc. It might be confusing for awhile, but there is no good time to make these changes.
It was always my dream to create an active poetry community on Word Craft ~Prose & Poetry and that is finally in the works. I have many exciting plans for the future.
Thanks for being part of this poetry community. I appreciate you all! ❤

An avid reader, Colleen M. Chesebro rekindled her love of writing poetry after years spent working in the accounting industry. These days, she loves crafting syllabic poetry, flash fiction, and creative fiction and nonfiction.
In addition to poetry books, Chesebro’s publishing career includes participation in various anthologies featuring short stories, flash fiction, and poetry. She’s an avid supporter of her writing community on Word Craft Poetry.com by organizing and sponsoring a weekly syllabic poetry challenge, called #TankaTuesday, where participants experiment with traditional and current forms of Japanese and American syllabic poetry.
Chesebro is an assistant editor of The Congress of the Rough Writers Flash Fiction Anthology & Gitty Up Press, a micro-press founded by Charli Mills and Carrot Ranch.
In January 2022, Colleen founded Unicorn Cats Publishing Services to assist poets and authors in creating eBooks and print books for publication. In addition, she creates affordable book covers for Kindle and print books.
Chesebro lives in the house of her dreams in mid-Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes with her husband and two (unicorn) cats, Chloe & Sophie.

You are so creative. I like your idea and effort to create an author blog!
I’m going to start writing my poetry from there. I want to clean up this blog and dedicate it to the poetry challenge and do more poet interviews, etc. We need the exposure. LOL!
Lots of poetry and short stories for me. Word Craft will expand it’s poetry reach. I’d like to offer poet’s a place where they can talk about their art. You’re the perfect example, Kerfe. Your artwork and poetry is amazing! ❤️
The author blog is for my flash fiction and poetry. Word Craft is for poetry and everything else promoting everyone else. I did a free blog with a domain. Very reasonable.
Oh there won’t be many changes. Just really moving my personal stuff to the author blog. I want to do more community based poetry things on word Craft. That was always my intent. ❤️
Congratulations, Colleen. I also have an author blog but I still prefer writing on my free WP blogs, so much easier to interact with the community. I use RobbieCheadle.co.za as my flagship website.
Thanks. I’m writing a book about poetry called Word Craft ~ Prose & Poetry: The Art of Crafting Syllabic Poetry. I hope to have this published by April of this year. Nice of you to say. You should join in my weekly challenge.

Thanks, Merril. I had the split between the blogs planned for some time. Your blog gave me the idea, by the way. ❤

I’m not one for interviews. I visited today to look for the latest prompt. I see its not up yet but I really like the clean look of it.

How exciting! I think it makes sense for you to have an author’s site to feature your own work that’s separate from “Word Craft.”

Yes! Thank you, Liz. I want to open word Craft to other poetry authors as well to feature articles and furthering poetic education. ❤️
