#FAIRY #TAROT #FRIDAY ~ August 7, 2020

Welcome to Fairy Tarot Friday. Each Friday I’ll share a card from the Fairy Tarot deck by Doreen Virtue & Radleigh Valentine, featuring an uplifting message from the fey. I’ll also include a bit of syllabic poetry inspired by the card reading.

The Major Arcana contains 22 cards that describe major events and turning points in our lives (marriage, pregnancy, relationship and career changes, and overcoming personal challenges). The Major Arcana cards also represent the different phases from childhood to old age.

Doreen Virtue numbered the Minor Arcana cards to comprise four suits representing different aspects of human life. They number the Minor Arcana cards 1 (Ace) through 10, plus the four court cards (Princess, Prince, Queen, and King). The Minor Arcana reflects the day-to-day aspects of our lives and the people in them. Court cards represent either a situation or a person during a reading.

The Minor Arcana comprises four suits. In traditional Tarot they are; wands, cups, swords, and coins. In Fairy Tarot, the four suits reflect the seasons: Spring for wands, Summer for cups, Winter for swords, and Autumn for coins. In Angel Tarot, the seasons represent the four elements: fire = spring, water = summer, air = winter, and earth = autumn. Consider these elements in relation to the Fairy Tarot, as well.

The divinatory meanings are given for upright cards only—this tarot is not intended for reversed readings.

Once you get to know the fairies, you’ll see they are strong-willed environmentalists. They get perturbed at people who mistrust animals or the earth. Never lie to a fairy. Instead, help them take care of the planet and other living beings. Do your part. Your actions will richly reward you, and the fairies will encourage you in amazing ways.

Today’s Card: Queen of Autumn

What a perfect card for a Friday. Consider this Queen to be like a fairy god-mother. She cares about everyone and can’t wait to swoop in to save the day! She is generous and giving, and loves to make dreams come true. She adores luxurious and beautiful things. She could spin straw into gold if you asked her… and she’d love to try!

The Queen of Autumn’s family means the world to her. She also can run a small company and a large household without so much as breaking a sweat! The Queen also has an eye for decorating. Her motto is “Form and function, dearie. Form and function.”

Guess what? The Queen’s tastes are expensive (very expensive)! Thank goodness she’s discerning—and picky! Fortunately, she’s good with money because she spends it like crazy. By the way, the Queen marries well. Does the Queen remind you of anyone in your family?

In this card, the Queen sits on her throne. She may appear inactive, but magic swirls around her! The rabbit by her side symbolizes the prosperity and creativity at her command. READ: Rabbit Symbolism & Meaning

Since the Queen embodies the tradition of family, this card represents a woman skillful in the management of finances who possesses a practical nature.

This person could come to your aid in some financial matter. It is likely that her advice will be spot-on regarding better money management. The advice you receive will help you create abundant prosperity, so listen carefully. #Fairy #Tarot #Friday

Be practical in your decisions and how you proceed with the advice you’ve received. Pay attention to the messages from the universe. Look for signs signaling that you are on the right path.

Additional meanings of this card: The ability to make anything more beautiful. The ability to be sensible. A love of gardening. A wonderful parent.

  1. What a beautiful card, and postive message. I love it. And your senryu is perfect, Colleen. I’ve been lamenting the end of summer (I know you are broiling, but it never warmed up here). That said, autumn is always glorious… the planet’s colorful “exterior” designer. Have a lovely week, my friend.

  2. Very nice. I’m looking for some Autumn-like weather here in USA, PA. We’ve had some hot dog days of summer…
and well with no air… barely tolerable. I’m looking forward to tomorrows predicted rain.
