Now, he has to fight for his friends and the guy that he loves.
Which would be challenging enough, without school being a living nightmare; more demons than he can handle; and witches that have strayed from the light.

My review of book one, “Winter Trials” is HERE. My review of book two, “Awaken” is HERE.
As the story advances, “The Breaking,” is the third book in the Northern Witch series, and it enters a darker, more sinister phase.
Not only does Mark have to deal with the demon inside of Damien, he also has to deal with an additional peril. After his friends want nothing more to do with him, Mark’s befriended by a demon named Eadric, he somehow summoned from the past; as if he didn’t have enough problems!
Inside of Eadric lives the demon Silvaticus, who would like to exact his revenge on the demon named Robert who is living inside of Damien. The next thing Mark knows, he’s in the middle of a blood feud between the demons.
Hoping to protect Mark, Damien believes he’s caused Mark’s pain, so he runs away to London. Bereft without his partner, Mark follows Damien and runs into more than he expected when he collides with the London Witches Coven who embraces the darkest kind of magic. Obviously, Mark is over his head in the magical department. He’s just too weak to handle these unknown threats.
Nana and the coven have failed to prepare Mark for these additional hazards. It’s almost as if they are hiding certain knowledge from him he could really use now when he needs it most.
I love all the obstacles K.S. Marsden throws at these characters. I have a feeling Mark will come into his magical powers in the next book. I wonder if Nana and the coven are prepared?
Many thanks to the author for the gift of this book. I chose to write a review because I love the writing and the characters. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
