Crafting Poetry One Syllable at a Time
Posted on July 13, 2018 by Colleen M. Chesebro
I’m happy to share that Fairies, Myths, & Magic is now available in a paperback version for the low price of $5.99 each on Amazon. I’m still in that 72-hour window on Amazon, so here is my Amazon Author Page where both editions are listed.
This book would make a great gift for all those summer birthday parties you still have to attend. By the way, There will be a second volume dedicated to the Winter Solstice, available in early December. ❤
I would like to thank D. G. Kaye, Diana Peach, Dan Greenwell, Andrew Joyce, and Balroop Singh for their rave reviews of Fairies, Myths, & Magic. Your kind words found their way into the advanced praise section of this book and on the back cover. Thanks for your kindness! You guys are the best! ❤

“A good poem is a contribution to reality. The world is never the same once a good poem has been added to it. A good poem helps to change the shape of the universe, helps to extend everyone’s knowledge of himself and the world around him.”

Thanks, Charli… I’ll learn how to format those darn paragraphs if it kills me! LOL! 😀

That’s my biggest hang up with publishing — formatting!

I downloaded the Amazon formatting guide. I guess you have to get rid of the word formatting so the paragraphs fill up the page correctly. I could get by with it in Fairies, Myths, & Magic but I will have to learn the secrets before my novella comes out. I’ll let you know what I find out. ❤

I use Scrivener and hope that works, but I have to get better at formatting Scrivener, lol! Book Baby did a beautiful job of formatting but it’s costly and their distribution does not guarantee placement. I want Vellum but I’m not a Mac user. I may hire someone to do the formatting. Let me know if you discover any secrets!

Will do. I would love to have Vellum. I’m a MAC user. 💜

Thanks so much, Sis. Charli Mills suggested I get the Vellum program for MAC. Kinda pricey but it might be worth it. I have no plans to stop writing. 😀

I’ve heard from many how well that works. And yes, it’s only for MAC users. You can learn more about it from Joanna Penn – The Creative Penn ❤
