“A good poem is a contribution to reality. The world is never the same once a good poem has been added to it. A good poem helps to change the shape of the universe, helps to extend everyone’s knowledge of himself and the world around him.”

Colleen's syllabic poetry has appeared in the Auroras & Blossoms Poetry Journal, and in “Hedgerow, a journal of small poems.” She’s won numerous awards from participating in the Carrot Ranch Rodeo, a yearly flash fiction contest sponsored by carrotranch.com. In 2020, she won first place in the Carrot Ranch Folk Tale or Fable category, with her story called “Why Wolf Howls at the Moon.” Colleen is a Sister of the Fey, where she pursues a pagan path through her writing. Thanks, Irene. After the holidays, we need to make some more jewelry, if you’re feeling up to it. ❤ I'm totally out! 😀

I will have to share my “actual” fireplace. It is not as festive as the photo but it works fine. I’ll have more to share about the upcoming winter solstice. ❤

Thanks, Viva. I am enjoying a return to a more nature based tradition. There is just too much commercialism in the world today. ❤ Hugs to you and Merry Christmas. ❤

I love this, Colleen. I’d put some of those good luck ashes in a little medicine pouch and wear it around my neck ❤

Oh, if I could! My fireplace is electric. On the summer solstice I will have to get a small log for my little fire pit and do it. I’m writing another post tomorrow about my Yule celebration old lady style inside. LOL! ❤️
