Her Life’s Defining Moment – A Tanka

The RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #105 words for this week are “Time & Grow.” I am going to spread my wings a bit and write a Tanka poem instead of a Haiku.

You can always spot a Tanka because it has five lines with syllables in each line accordingly: 5/7/5/7/7. Here is my example:

Are you interested in this Japanese poetry form? Check out my post here to learn more. Tanka gives you a few more lines to tell your story. See if it works for you.

Many thanks to Ronovan for hosting this challenge. I hope you will join us!

  1. Thank you, Erika. I know I have been bad again… I mean to stop by and chat and get caught up in something else. Thank goodness you keep tabs on me. Many hugs to you, my dear friend. ❤
