RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #74 Cake & Wolf

I love when Ronovan gives us a challenge with the words he chooses! Both words, cake and wolf, have various meanings that really spoke to me this week. I had to flex my haiku using different forms of the words because of the many options. Tell me which you liked best!

“The Lothario”

Cake = cover (v.)

Wolf = Lothario (n.)

The Lothario –

covering his deeds with slick words,

he wants the naïve.

Cake = pastries (n.)

Wolf = gorge (v.)

Sweet pastries allure –

frosting drips with calories,

I gorge on my words.

  1. Love haiku, but haven’t tried writing them since high school, back in the dark ages. These are great Colleen.

      1. LOL. Hahahahhaaa but I re-read the 1st one and I love it too…you write very well. The Lothario…smooth-talker. Did you have some kiddies stories in mind? *wink*

        1. LOL! I know a Lothario when I see ’em! LOL! At least now I do. Not when I was young. HA, HA! ❤ 😀

    1. Olga, I do it as word play. I am probably quite illogical in expressing my brevity of words. 💗

    1. Thanks, Mel. I really loved that one too. I am sticking to this healthy eating plan if it kills me! LOL! ❤

        1. I have been good. I made chocolate chip cookies for Ron and did indulge in two… that was 6 bites and 6 points! Worth every bit! 😀

    1. Thanks so much. I thought I lost my haiku mojo after last week’s haiku. 😀 I am so glad you enjoyed them, though. ❤
