An avid reader, Colleen M. Chesebro rekindled her love of writing poetry after years spent working in the accounting industry. These days, she loves crafting syllabic poetry, flash fiction, and creative fiction and nonfiction.
In addition to poetry books, Chesebro’s publishing career includes participation in various anthologies featuring short stories, flash fiction, and poetry. She’s an avid supporter of her writing community on Word Craft Poetry.com by organizing and sponsoring a weekly syllabic poetry challenge, called #TankaTuesday, where participants experiment with traditional and current forms of Japanese and American syllabic poetry.
Chesebro is an assistant editor of The Congress of the Rough Writers Flash Fiction Anthology & Gitty Up Press, a micro-press founded by Charli Mills and Carrot Ranch.
In January 2022, Colleen founded Unicorn Cats Publishing Services to assist poets and authors in creating eBooks and print books for publication. In addition, she creates affordable book covers for Kindle and print books.
Chesebro lives in the house of her dreams in mid-Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes with her husband and two (unicorn) cats, Chloe & Sophie.

You seem to be taking the change in weather totally in your stride. No regrets for Florida sunshine?
Not a bit. That was my third attempt at living in the American south. Each time I liked it less and less. Once a northern girl, always a northern girl. LOL! ❤
Wow! Beautiful winter pictures and not even December yet. My nephew when little would love these type of ‘snow trees’ and shake them vigorously making it snow all again!
We had fog this morning so thick I could not see across the street. Suddenly… it was gone. I love the changing of the weather in the mountains. You just never know what it will give you next. I bet your nephew had a blast. More snow predicted for tonight! ❤
Nowadays my nephew loves skiing in France or such, down the black slopes!! Oh I do love snow just not the hassles it causes the country. Are you becoming used to the cold and snow now? You seem excited and happy about it. 😃
Awww, Greg. Just when it would wreck so much havoc on your part of the world…??? Weather witch I may be, but I have no control on what it does to others. LOL! 😀
That’s a magnificent image, and your new site layout is pretty fabulous too! It reminded me of our snow fall last year, which was pretty heavy. When it started to melt, and the snow on the branches of a bush in my garden began to fall off, it formed the shape of a face. I’ll have to try and dig out the image – I have a slight obsession with seeing faces in things!
Oh that would be fun wouldn’t it? You know I am putting up a Christmas tree this year. Really it is for Hugh, so we can celebrate across the continents. We should do a Christmas Tree post from around the world! ❤
It looks beautiful. And I am happy for you that you enjoy it so much, Colleen! Snowed here too several times during the past week, but nothing tha lasted yet……….. (thank God… lol)
You grew up where it is warm. I am sure that is hard on you. We have blue skies and sun today after another inch of snow. It’s cold but beautiful. Have a fabulous day, Olga. 💗😊

Oh, no. We are in a new subdivision. I was worried when we had the blizzard. 60+ mph winds and over a foot of snow. No worries. Whew. Stay warm. 🍵🍵💗

Snow is always a good thing, as long as it’s not overdone (as in a blizzard).
