Just like the rainbow at the end of this haiku, I cannot wait to be finished with the painting in our house. We are down to the master bedroom, the living room, and the dining room. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The paint has made everything look brighter and warmer. The color is called classic taupe. It reminds me of the color of coffee after cream has been added – warm and inviting.

Thanks for stopping by to chat for a bit. It gave me time to put away all the paint brushes for the weekend. I look forward to seeing you all again!
Another interesting challenge. I also like taupe. I hope the rest of the painting goes smoothly and you have some celebration organised (even if it is something small). A celebratory haiku? 🙂

I started out calling my haiku, The Painters Lament! LOL! I think a celebratory haiku would be in order. I will just be glad when it is done. LOL! 🙂 I have sore shoulders and arms.

Do you find that painting allows you to formulate ideas for your writing? I do.
That’s a huge challenge you’re undertaking. Go steady and rest up when you need to. It’s looking good. 😁

No this job has been hard. Our house is large. It is about 7 years old and the paint was from the builder. It was flat. It washed right off the wall! It is looking so good and we are so sore! 😊

Wow Colleen, all that fairy magic is bringing you luck. A double Rainbow!!! Fab post hun. Good luck with the decorating, but don’t work too hard. ❤

The double rainbow was from when we lived in the mountains of northern Arizona. We had lots of rainbows there. 💖

Looks as if your seeing the light at the end of the tunnel at last, Colleen. Our tiling is almost complete as well. It should all be finished tomorrow and we will have the house back to ourselves – hooray! I could not believe the amount of dust the hoover picked up over the weekend from all the mess.

I have been cleaning as I go putting the rooms back together… Whew! Dust everywhere. It has been a mess here too. Glad your project is almost done Hugh! 💖
