My
world is
woven from a
desire to create
a special reality.
Silken threads intertwine
and twist in the moisture laden air, all the while I wait
and ponder the divinity
I seek. The darkness
of the swamp engulfs and challenges this veracity. Bottle green
leaves and
vines encircle
my retreat, drawing
wisdom from the primordial
ooze beneath my feet. Patiently I crouch and wait, silent in my
spider’s lair, as gossamer
strands of silken lace play upon her hair. The dankness of the mire,
the stillness of the day,
This I know is my
actuality, my
dominion
I shall
keep.
Whew, this was a tough one today. We were to use an animal, make it a concrete poem (shape poem) and to use enjambment. Thanks for checking in on me.

Wow, that’s amazing, Colleen. How long did it take you to get that done?
A couple of hours! I was holding my breath hoping it would stay! I have now totally lost my mind! <3
But in a very cool way, haha! You are amazing! Wow, I wouldn’t have had the patience. Great!!! Big compliment.
LOL! Thank goodness you did not hear me cussing! This was done after a morning of painting in the master bathroom. I am off now to relax. <3
Haha, you definitely deserve it!!! Thanks for creating this peace of art for us.
