I’ve always enjoyed your poetry and haiku. Along with several other blogs and some additional poetry sites that I recently have been reading, I was motivated to give it a try myself and so I’m participating in the Writing 201: Poetry course. At a minimum, at least I will learn more about poetry. However, it will be a challenge for me to actually write poetry, although I’m going to try. I’m working on the first assignment today about Water.

Well thank you for the wonderful compliments. I am glad you are trying something new. Me too. There are many kinds of poetry that I have never tried. You just never know we might have some really great words in us! I will see more of your poetry.

What a moving haiku! I could send the feeling of the waves coming into shore and evening the sand, making it smooth and glistening…a wonderfully warming haiku on this cold day here in NYC!
Cheers!

Wow, Colleen, I’m very impressed. Not just with your haiku (because I think they are always very good) but with you doing the poetry class as well. Well done, you. I don’t know where you find all the time.
