Having around 25 F and far below at night. I wouldn’t mind spring either.

That would be great. On the other side it could be worse over here. Three years ago around that time we had three weeks in a row from 0 F and less. Luckily my husband and I were in California half of the time.

I so agree Colleen, I’m definitely ready for spring and light nights. For the last few days it has still been light at 5pm so we’re on our way. Great haiku! 🙂

We are bracing ourselves for some real winter weather here in the UK, Colleen, and hearing it’s going to last for three weeks, Spring is a long way off for us. However, what with a lot of the spring flowering bulbs already out here, maybe Spring has already been and gone here?
Your haiku is both lovely and cheerful. Wishing you a happy Spring when it arrives in your part of the world. 🙂

Thank you Hugh. There is a nor-easter blowing off the eastern coast of the U.S. right now with heavy snow and high winds. I expect that will swing your way. Stay warm and soon we will all have some spring weather. It is windy here today. The sun is shinning and the sky is blue. I saw someone on Facebook the other day say, “We should only have to go outside in weather that is at least the temperature of our age… if it is lower, we shouldn’t have to go!” I agree with that! LOL. 🙂

What a great quote and, come to think of it, it makes perfect sense. Then I think, there’s no way I’m going outside when the mercury hits 80 🙂 Me and heat don’t get on, being very fair skinned, so I’m going to remain in my 50’s for the rest of my life now. Thanks for the tip, Colleen 🙂

I actually like the heat and am fair skinned too… so, lots of sun screen for me. Anyway, the weather thing is my excuse and I am sticking to it. I am purging my blog. The diet is going well. 🙂

I think I put my not liking the heat and sun much, down to having severe sunburn as a child. I can still remember the pain to this day and, even as a teenager and young adult, did not learn to cover up and slap on some sun screen. Don’t get me wrong, summer days can be great, but you’ll often find me sat in the shade with a big sunhat on, drinking a nice cold glass of white wine. 🙂
Good to hear about the diet, Colleen. I’ll be writing a post about how mine is going next week.

Poor Hugh. I did the same thing the first time I saw the Atlantic many years ago when I first went into the Air Force. Wow. I got in trouble too! 🙂
