This is a picture of Spice and Sugar when we lived in Montana. They are Pomeranians and I wanted to show them with their full coats. We keep them trimmed living here in Florida for the obvious reasons… too hot for all that fur! Last week some folks were wondering what breed they were.
Pomeranians have two coats. They are well suited to the cold winters of Germany. They are actually miniature Spitz bred down in size to become their own breed. You can learn more about them at AKC-Get to Know the Pomeranian. They are little dogs with HUGE personalities! <3 <3

I love them too. These girls are not pure bred. Sisters from the same litter but I think Spice, the smaller one has Long-Haired Chichuahua in her too. Sugar looks like a Pom. Our first Pom was an all black male. We named him Pu-Chai which means black in Thai. He lived for 14 years. <3
Both cute as ever. I would imagine they are so relieved to have their fur clipped. Toby hates the heat and he has a thick corse coat being an outside herder breed. He’s a bit like me enjoying the cooler Autumn days and nights, when we can both sleep because the humidity has gone for another year.
Hi Colleen, Sugar and Spice have the sweetest faces. I love the way they are looking up at you in the last photo. I’m fascinated with Spitz dogs double coats, and wondered how they’d fare in the hot weather. Now I know. Thanks so much.

Crafting Syllabic Poetry is my Ikigari 💜
One day, I stumbled across the Japanese word Ikigari. After some research, I discovered iki means life. In Japanese, Gai means worth or value. When these words combine, they form the definition of ikigari, which is life’s worth. It’s often translated or interpreted as a reason for getting up in the morning. So, yes, writing syllabic poetry is my ikigari.
I also believe writing syllabic poetry strengthens our writing skills. When we create poetry, we gain command of language; cultivate a healthy vocabulary, master literary devices such as metaphor, simile, alliteration, hyperbole, and allegory. We learn to work in imagery. We connect with our ikigari.
When I’m not writing poetry or crafting short stories, you’ll find me digging in my garden, or playing with my two unicorn cats, Chloe & Sophie. I live in East Lansing, Michigan with my husband—my soul mate. Most days you can find me writing poetry on wordcraftpoetry.com. 💜

They’re beautiful puppies, Colleen!
Thanks Rob. They will be 11 years old in January. I don’t know where the time goes 🙂
Poms are probably my favorite breed. I have a half Pom/half Long-Haired Chihuahua.

Mine’s 16 this year! Still acts like a puppy. I’ve always wanted a black Pom — maybe one day. Yours are adorable=]
Thank you. Post some pictures of your little girl… 16! WOW. Good for her. <3
There are some in this post: http://nonsenseshenanigans.com/2014/05/23/hungover-ball-of-fluff/

They look so sweet. I especially love the last picture where they are both looking up. Thank you so much for taking part. <3
Thank you for letting us visit your challenge each week. ♡

Oh yes we are the same here too. The cooler it gets the more they want to eat! 🙂
Sugar and Spice and all things nice…They are adorable! 🙂
Thanks Amanda. They are the best dogs. Their personalities are just like their names 🙂
